Don't shoot. Next to a peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich on seven-grain toast, pizza in all it's forms is my favorite whole meal. You have your favorites; I have a suggested list culled from a round of visits in the past year.

It has been long acceptable in polite society to refer to places selling pizza as a joints. A pizza joint is any place with an oven, a takeout window and a cigar box to hold the money. Two places that have upgraded the pizza concept are Figlio and Spagio in Grandview Heights. Both are restaurants, not joints.
For another pizza restaurant, go to New Albany and experience The Eagles Villa Pizza. Even if you are not a pizza fan, go for the architecture. For those who like antiques even more than pizza, Eagles Pizza is a trip back to the turn of the century. |
